Booster Club minutes from 08-20-13

We were introduced to Mr. Suttle, our new principal, and Ms. Thoroughman, the Athletic Director. 
We have approximately 62 kids on the team this year.  Because of the size of the team, it may be necessary to have a carpool for JV runners to some of the meets, because everyone doesn't fit on the bus.  And, again, we are thrilled that Coach Abernathy is available to drive the bus for us!
Officers were nominated and voted on.  President is Amy Brand, vice president is Lanise Head, and treasurer is Claire Starks.
The banquet has been scheduled for November 12.  We are looking for parent volunteers to help plan the banquet.  There will be another meeting about this at a later date.
Any parents willing to help with snacks, please inform Amy Brand or Claire Starks.  Please, no snacks with peanuts on the bus...we have a child with allergies.  Thanks!
Coach Allen and Coach Abernathy are glad to have Coach Jonathan Gambrell working with them this year.
Wednesday mornings there will be track workouts at 6:20am.  Coach will let you know if you should be there.
Team picture day is September 20 at 4pm.  Our sweats should be in by then and that is what runners will wear for the photo.
Please don't forget to pay your dues.  They are $200 ($300 if you have 2 runners).  Your dues help pay for all of our meets, sweats, uniforms, snacks, awards, and our coaches.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
