Coach Allen –
·         Very excited about this XC season. We have had around 45 kids turn out (25 girls – 20 boys).
·         Practice will be everyday after school. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at mountain. Coach Abernathy will drive the bus. Wednesday and Friday will be at the school.
·         Saturday, August 18th will be 2 mile time trials at the Hunting Grounds in Acworth with Kennesaw Mountain and North Cobb. Meet at the school at 6:15 am.
·         Race information will be posted on the website and also a sheet of paper will go home with your runner on Thursdays prior to the race.
·         You may take your runner after races, but make sure to sign them out.
·         Uniforms will be handed out week of August 20th. New uniforms this year.
·         Banquet is tentatively set for Tuesday, November 13th at 6:00 pm. Since the meeting, we have found out the cafeteria is booked. Our banquet is now scheduled for Monday, November 12th at 6:00 pm.

·         Team/Family Meet and Greet will be held Sunday, August 19th 2-5 pm at the back pool of Echo Mill. Booster Club will provide pizza, plates, and napkins. Each family should bring their own drinks and an appetizer/dessert to share.
·         Please make sure you are checking XC website as it has the most up to date information concerning races, etc. If you have not done so already, please go to the website and fill in the parent information. The email addresses are used by Mrs. Feller to send out information, especially any last minute changes to practices/races.
·         Last year Dr. Shaw asked for all Booster Clubs to try and donate to the Hillgrove Foundation in order to make it possible for us to have visitor stands at Hillgrove. They are needed for safety of those attending events at Hillgrove. The money received from gate fees at football games goes directly to the school and are used at the discretion of Dr. Shaw. Each Booster Club does receive money each year from that fund. Increased revenue at football games increases this fund. Last year we donated $400 and we possibly will do that again this year.
·         Next Booster Club meeting will be Monday, September 17th. Time will be announced.
